In a survey done by Housing.com and Naredco, it was found that proximity to healthcare infrastructure is the top-ranked amenity for potential homebuyers.
“While pre-COVID homebuyers mainly focused on amenities such as furnishings, parking, power backup, amongst others, our survey indicates that healthcare infrastructure and recreational and open spaces are now taking precedence,” the survey said.

The survey, which was conducted between January and June 2021, also points to other positives. 40% think that the overall economic scenario will improve for the coming six months, 60 percent were confident about the income for the coming six months, 35% say they will resume home search in 3 months, 71% have reported that flexible payment and discounts will provide for the financial cushioning and 53 percent of homebuyers reported that they want to upgrade their home.
Housing sales have also recorded an increase in the Jan-June period. With total sales of 99,416 residential units in the first half of 2021 across top markets, housing sales recorded a rise of 67% YoY, according to a report by Knight Frank India.
