The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has prepared Rs 800 cr project plan to ease the travel from Lucknow to Prayagraj – the Capital City with the Holy city of India’s most populous state Uttar Pradesh.
The project encompasses a new bridge on Sai River, four new bypass roads, and a ring road on the Rae Bareli-Prayagraj National Highway. The bypass roads, ring road, and the bridge will be four-lane. The highway is a two-lane road and will remain the same.
A dilapidated 5-decade old bridge exists on Sai River through which traffic moves currently.
A 5km bypass road will be constructed from Bhikh to Jigna in Jagatpur. A 4.3 KM bypass road will be constructed from Itora Bujurg to Bhagipur in Babuganj and 11.07KM bypass road will be constructed from Aalapur to Bahiyanwa in Pratapgarh.
Besides, a 6.2 KM ring road will be constructed from Laalgopalganj to NH-2 in Prayagraj.
This will ease the travel from Lucknow to Prayagraj.
